Child Development Project Officer contributes and works in coordination with the support from the Governor’s office in addition to several teams at all SDLC’s developmental services.

He also directs the review of the County Public Health Department’s programs for children in six District of Columbia’s Special Developmental Pays (SDLPAP).

It is the mandate of the CDPO to draft, prepare, plan, monitor, evaluate, and implement child development in SDLPAP. Further,

he is responsible for mentoring and cultivating Professional Development in the SDLPAP. The conduct of organizational development and also advocacy is the responsibility of CDPO.

To carry out his responsibilities he works in partnership with his Director of SFDPO and his district executives as well as the Child Development Policy unit.

CDPO is now performing the duties of Child Development Policy unit appointed in 2000 by Lotte Foundation.

SFDPO had developed and received a Department of Administration Grants to carry out their duties under the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). However, it has been reported that the CDC actually withdrew the grant in January 2019.

Since 2004, ICDS managed and operationalized four programs.

The State Department of Social Welfare Child Development Program (SDSP) is the health and educational services that help children in SDLPAP’s Departments to come up with a rough picture.

The State Department of Social Services (SDSP) ICT Development Program is to invest in the interior infrastructure of the Child Development Center to ensure a conducive atmosphere for the children who live in the classrooms (Kleskey,2004).

The SCDPo (Special Elementary School Department) in SDLPAP is the department that tracks and monitors learning progress of children who received special educational services,

therefore, it should be the initial department of evaluation and review of the schools educational programs, methods, services, and procedures.

The program’s other programs provide meals to the children in SDLPAP schools.


CDPO’s official operational designation is “District Coordinator for Interoperability of Programs -4276 [Department of Social Services], District of Columbia”, hence, therefore,

the primary function of CDEPO is to coordinate child development programs and the school life system development, while on the same time cooperating with SDLPAP.

The DG&S are expected to ensure that CDEPO and SDLPAP tracks and monitors development of children’s learning and achievement is a high priority.

It is the official duty of the CDPO to assume the overall responsibility to ensure that all district-level agencies have continued efforts to achieve the child developmental goals.


– The fourth and the most essential of the child development programs, CDEPO’s primary responsibility includes the child development of the fundamental educational program (CalCARD), children with special educational needs (TSP),

children with disabilities, educational consultants, special education programs, and anti-social service agencies.

The outcome of CDEPO’s primary responsibility is to monitor achievement of all child development programs in SDLPAP schools by observing the school’s and educational meeting the first policy.

CDEPO contacts all parents and teachers in their educational sector to review and to know whether children are able to perform well in their educational programs.


– CC & TSP monitors schools achievements of the education of the children who received these educational services, and they work and are from the State Department of Social Welfare.


SDLPAP also monitors and evaluates the anti-social development of children who received special educational services, protective services,

the management of mental health services, chemical dependency services, anti-social promotion services, and services for learning of social skills. CDEPO makes sure that the SSDPO holds the main responsibility in the monitoring of the anti-social development of children.

Child Development Policy

The collaboration of the SDLPAP and the Department of State Child Development Policy serves as the basis for the development of the Child Development Policy and Administration.

Having the support of the state department helps to implement the policy in SDLPAP that would enable the educational results that the SDLPAP gain through the help of all MDPS. In addition, SDLPAP organizes the work of the national special education administrations.

The policy aims to assure that the SDLPAP schools provide all the educational and social services needed to improve the improvement of the local living standards and can contribute to the improvement of families’ life conditions.

What is the duty of Cdpo?

Child education, health promotion and the promotion of general upliftment of the welfare of the child population of Nepal. Keeping in view the exceptional requirements in a modern age a new office is being set up in the Ministry of Children and Family Development.

It will also become an intellectual mission of the First Family to ensure sustainable modern day child education and healthcare.

According to the Office of the Prime Minister, we want to provide full support to the Ministry of Education for its mission of ensuring a healthy and educated population for the nation. The joint efforts of the ministry to provide upliftment of the food system can be understood through:

– Supply of nutritious food for all children in remote areas for the clearance of a total of 12 crore undernourished children in the country.

– Allocation of funds from the Ministry of Women and Child Development to the Ministry of Education to develop mid-day meal programmes in schools.

Ensure uninterrupted and uninterrupted supply of necessary food and education services at the highest levels of the Government through the Ministry of Primary, Secondary, Higher Secondary, Higher Secondary Education.

Statement of the Problem.

The gap between children need in school and all available facilities to the children has closed, on the other hand,

gap between the available facilities and the children’s level of sustenance. One has the clarity on how the gap should be solved but there is no full implementation.

Statement of the To-Do List.

To ensure the implementation of the above mentioned, follow the following activities.

– Request the top authorities to adopt the Guidelines issued by the Ministry of education to ensure the children wellbeing through implementation of schools.

– Reduce issues like transport subsidies and transport fare by the education boards. This could be achieved by the provision of free transport and meals in schools for all children.

– The issue on madrassas should be resolved by giving further recommendation of the government in which we can suggest the education department to obtain proper app state Education Directory from the Ministry of primary, secondary, higher secondary education.

Action to be taken.

Donate food items to support the mid-day meal programmes for all children at the same time, SCCA establishes a foundation that will enable the Department of Primary, Secondary, Higher Secondary Education to provide the targeted services and also donate food items for children malnutrition.

Statement of Objectives.

To ensure adequate nutrition of the children, SCCA proposes to organize a health drive, which will include distribution of information materials on health programme to the basic schools to ensure healthy youth and healthy family members.

Also, the department of Primary, Secondary, Higher Secondary Education will expand the scope of mid-day meal programmes by:

– Forming a coalition with the Ministry of Health, Population, Health and Family Welfare to enhance the health status of the children through enhancement of early childhood care and education services.

– Establishing a donation fund to empower the mid-day meal programmes and all educational boards.

Work Unit.

The Deputy Director of the school will oversee the supply of various educational materials like sanitary napkins and school bags for all school for building nutritious environment.

Statement of the Objectives.

The Office of School will donate food items and vegetables to schools with a different activity. Food is the main item that supports the food security of the students at all cost.

Action to be taken.

The Office of the School Physical Education Centre will directly buy food supplies from the Ministry of Education to meet the requirements of sanitation education including food for the children.

Statement of Objectives.

The project coordinator of school organisation will establish a family health council that will create awareness among the school students and the parents about child health issues,

malnutrition issue and raise children health awareness in school. At the same time, a community health council of the school should be established for community health awareness to the school population.

Work Unit.

The school nurse will have the responsibility of identifying and informing the school students and teaching staff about the importance of an active lifestyle such as daily physical activity and access to nutritious food.

The school will make the school enrollment free for all parents and hostel population.

Action to be taken.

Registration will be made for free breakfast and mid-day meal programmes.
